The Vision Behind Pedigree Entertainment

Ed Mitchell is a community-driven leader, veteran, coach, and family man whose passion for people and purpose is at the core of everything he does. With 10 years of service in the U.S. Army and 13 years as a football coach, Ed has spent much of his life leading, mentoring, and building others up.

As the oldest of four siblings, a devoted husband, and a proud father of three, Ed understands responsibility, legacy, and the importance of setting an example. His life has always centered around service, whether that meant serving his country, guiding young athletes, or showing up for those in need within the community.

Ed thrives in environments filled with energy and connection. He loves being around entertainers, large crowds, and moments that bring people together, which made the entertainment industry a natural extension of who he is.

How Pedigree Entertainment Started

Pedigree Entertainment was founded from a deeply personal place. The name “Pedigree” was inspired by Ed’s late father, whose words and humor left a lasting impact on him. His father used to joke that “there’s nothing better than a pedigree dog,” a phrase that stuck with Ed and ultimately became the foundation for the brand.

Beyond the name, Ed started Pedigree Entertainment with a clear vision: to build something meaningful that could be passed down to his family. He wanted to create a legacy in the entertainment space—something his children could continue, grow, and benefit from long after him.

Driven by a genuine love for entertainment, live crowds, and shared experiences, Pedigree Entertainment was created to deliver high-quality, affordable events while staying rooted in purpose and integrity.
